Resumen
The purpose of the research was to determine the relationship between the quality of public expenditure on health and education in reducing the income inequality of the inhabitants of the countries of South America. We worked with information from the social observatory of ECLAC using panel data from 2000 to 2014. Spending on education has had a greater influence than health on reducing income inequality.
