Abstract
The stomatognathic system requires balance as a whole to maintain normal physiology, including a variety of inappropriate oral patterns, which go beyond malocclusions, finding the need to implement Myofunctional Therapy. Objective: To identify the benefits of myofunctional therapy in the correction of oral habits and its correlation with physiological changes in body posture. Materials and Methods: A search of digital resources from the last 6 years was carried out, within which 64 publications were selected. Results: The 29 publications included reveal positive effects of myofunctional therapy with 89.7%, After the scientific review, it is established that Myofunctional Therapy offers some benefits such as: muscle strengthening, allowing the correction of parafunctions.
