Abstract
Our experience with the use of oral appliances (mandibular positioning device) in 27 patients with essential snoring and mild to severe sleep apnea syndrome is presented. In 15 (55.5%) patients significative improving in snoring and excessive diurnal somnolence was observed. 12 (44.5%) patients could not tolerate oral appliance. In regard to our experience and from literature review, oral appliances are good option for treatment of essential snoring and mild to moderate sleep apnea syndrome.
