Abstract

Leadership is important to generate fidelity between the leader and his team. The main objective of the research is to determine the differences between the leadership styles of men and women in administrative sciences in the city of Guayaquil, using the Bass and Avolio models. The approach is quantitative of cross section, using the questionnaire Multifactor Leadership Questionnaire (MLQ-5x) that has 45 items and nine defined factors, which was applied to 195 men and 195 women. The results showed significant differences between both genders, using an exploratory factor analysis, it was shown that the proposed styles explain 54% of the behavior of men and 52% of women.
