Monitoring the employment, labor and health conditions of older workers in Ecuador: analysis and recommendations for healthier aging

This research proposal aims to conduct a comprehensive analysis of the evolution of employment conditions and health security from the perspective of workers' age in Ecuador before and after the COVID-19 pandemic (2018–2023) and to compare older workers with younger age groups. Older workers will be defined as those aged 50 and above, although this criterion may be adjusted after reviewing the literature and analyzing the distribution of the Ecuadorian population in the labor market.
