Description

Researchers from the UEES coined the concept "Gulliver's syndrome" to describe people with borderline values in blood pressure, glucose, cholesterol and abdominal obesity, which when added together significantly increase the risk of cardiovascular diseases, the leading cause of death in Ecuador and the world. This approach seeks to avoid "therapeutic inertia" and promote early interventions, while experts emphasize that prevention must begin in childhood with healthy habits such as exercise, adequate nutrition, hydration and good rest.
